August's Selection...

Since we've been blessed with two new members to our little club I thought this book would be a welcome delight. The old mamas can reminisce, those without children can be absolutely horrified, and the new parents can find comfort in the craziness they've embraced. We've read Anne Lamott's stuff before as you might recall. This book is easily available at your library since it's been out forever.

Our newest member, Charlie, was born at 7:51, April 2. He was 7 lbs 11 oz & 19 inches and beautiful.

April & May Combined!

Ok, Jen hosted April and we read "The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao" by Junot Díaz. Due to the spring break conflict our mini Book Club had a well enjoyed therapy session at a local facility with magic beverages that had medicinal properties! Oooooooooo! Thank you dear Jen!

Sarah will be hosting May with the book "Freakonomics" by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner. Kindly let her know if you will be attending. I am sure she will graciously supply us with some magic beverages of her own that she is unable to enjoy still at that point.
